Collection and Disclosing Information
The ECC website has many sections that are open to all users, with no registration required. For these sections, our web server contains no software that automatically tracks e-mail addresses of users. However, our web server does track domain names, web browser type and version and information regarding the nature and extent of our website’s usage.
Users are not required to disclose any personal information in order to view our site. The ECC may gather some personal identifiable information when it is voluntarily submitted by the user. The types of information collected may include your name, email address, phone number, and postal address. This information is used for its intended purpose, and to better serve the users. The management of the ECC authorizes only trained and qualified employees to access the information you choose to provide. If you supply us with your postal address, phone number, or e-mail address, you may receive periodic communications from the ECC via the same medium. The communications will provide information on services available or upcoming events. If you do not wish to receive such communications from the ECC, please use the opt out link at the bottom of the broadcast emails or contact Membership Services (information at the bottom of this page). You will be asked such questions as whether you are an ECC member, your full name, current mailing address and type of medium (phone, e-mail, etc.) from which you are opting out. If you would like to e-mail us separately, please provide the information mentioned above and type the phrase “Opt Out” in the subject header field.
