Beam Orthodontics is a family owned practice specializing in orthodontics for kids, teens, and adults. Owned by board certified orthodontist Dr. Jeffery Schaefer and his wife Diana, Beam aims to provide excellent orthodontic care in an environment that is fun, friendly, and state-of-the-art.
The Schaefers live in Cardiff-by-the-Sea with their 2 year old son,1 year old daughter & their dog Olive. After practicing as an associate for 6 years, Dr. Schaefer is thrilled to have his own family practice down the street from his house. Built entirely from scratch, Beam opened its doors on April 24. Beam strives to build great smiles and to provide better function and longevity for teeth and jaws. Their core values center around four qualities:

Beam Orthodontics offers both Invisalign, clear and metal braces, and provides retainer options for limited tooth movement. New patient exams are complimentary, and they accept most PPO benefits (insurance) plans. Beam offers both flexible night-time and early-morning hours, as well as flexible financing. They believe that finances should not stand in the way of providing a better, healthier smile for you or your loved ones. Beam Orthodontics also supports the local community, and in only their second month in existence, have sponsored two Encinitas teams, spoken at three schools about careers in dentistry and proper oral hygiene, and donated 3 orthodontic treatments to non-profit organizations.
