After making a significant and positive impact in the birthing world of San Diego from 2000 – 2020, Linda Goldsmith’s birth work “cup was full” and she fully retired from it by the end of 2020. She knew she wanted to return to her business roots of Marketing and Advertising. She heard about the opening at the Encinitas Chamber of Commerce and had a strong feeling that is where her next career chapter in life would play out. With statistical odds against her, Goldsmith landed the job and has been thrilled in the role of Membership Coordinator ever since September 2020! “Encinitas doesn’t just feel like home, it IS home”, says the 22-year Encinitas resident. Goldsmith loves connecting people and businesses, helping her community stay economically healthy, all the while maintaining and valuing the Encinitas “beach town” vibe.

Katherine’s passion for Encinitas and philanthropic work is what lead her to the Encinitas Chamber. Here she has been able to thrive by combining her love of the community and utilizing her finely tuned talent for event planning. Katherine’s favorite things to do on a weekend is to start with a morning hike with her puppy, Teddy Bear, on one of the Encinitas Ranch Trails or go for a beach walk, then head over to Leucadia for a coffee and pastry. It’s hard to pick a favorite beach in this beautiful beach town but Leucadia State Beach (Beacons) has a special place in her heart.
