Get Your Small Business Certified

The SBA is the federal government’s go to source for all things small business. This workshop is designed to provide the participant with a comprehensive understanding of all of the SBA’s unique small business certification programs. With an SBA certification(s), your business will qualify for federal contracts that are set aside for one of the respective SBA certifications.

This workshop will cover:

  • How to qualify for SBA’s 8(a) Business Development Program/Certification:
    The 8(a) Business Development Program is a nine (9) year business assistance program for small businesses that are owned by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals. This certification program helps gain a foothold in federal government contracting.

  • How to qualify for Women-Owned Small Business Certification:
    The WOSB Program is a certification program that authorizes federal contracting officers to set aside certain federal requirements/contracts for competition solely amongst women-owned small businesses (WOSBs) or economically disadvantaged women-owned small businesses (EDWOSBs).

  • How to qualify for HUBZone Certification:
    The Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUBZone) certification program helps small businesses in urban and rural communities gain preferential access to federal opportunities/contracts.
